The 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum

The 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will provide a crucial space to focus on the fundamental principles driving trust, including transparency, consistency and accountability. This Annual Meeting welcomed over 100 governments, all major international organizations, 1000 Forum’s Partners, as well as civil society leaders, experts, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and news outlets. At the 54th reunion, UpRoot was invited to participate in numerous conferences, meetings, and events to represent and present the UpRoot brand.

Green Accelerator in Davos

The Green Accelerator that took place in Davos (Switzerland), serve as a catalyst for transformative change by nurturing and supporting the growth of cutting-edge climate tech start-ups and scale-ups that hold the key to revolutionary solutions, capable of making a significant impact on the global environmental and climate crisis. In January of 2024, UpRoot had the honor of joining, pitching and showcasing with other startups whose value proposition is changed for a sustainable future.

Recognized by Bill Clinton as one of the top ideas that are changing the world

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) brings together established and emerging global leaders to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. In 2021, UpRoot participated in the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in New York, where it was awarded by former President Bill Clinton himself as the Hult Prize Global Winner and recognized as one of the top ideas that are changing the world.

2021 Hult Prize Global Winner

UpRoot was recognized as the 2021 Hult Prize Global Winner. The Hult Prize is an annual competition for ideas solving pressing social issues, such as food security, water access, energy, and education. Named for Bertil Hult, the prize is awarded to college students, and has referred to as the "Nobel Prize for students". Former U.S. president Bill Clinton selects the challenge topic and announces the winner each September, with the selected idea receiving seed capital to be launched into a social enterprise.
